Europe has set itself the objective of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. The Dairy food value chain has an important role to play to achieve this goal and is also the primary source of livelihood for many people around Europe. In a context of resources scarcity, and climate change, both at national and European level, how can stakeholders in the dairy sector accelerate their sustainable transformation? How can they strengthen sustainability and resilience of dairy production systems? How can they continue to produce safe, affordable, and quality dairy products while reducing their impact and creating jobs in the rural economy? What is the progress made and are the future challenges to reconcile environment, food security and resilience in Europe?
